Mike Georgiades is a guitar player, teacher and composer. Mike is an accomplished guitarist covering many guitar styles, namely Classical, Romantic, Spanish and Flamenco, through to Latin Jazz, Rock and Pop.
For over ten years Mike has performed at hundreds of weddings and events. Currently working with many UK agencies, Mike has performed at many prestigious venues including The Oval, Wentworth, The Gherkin, The Royal Pavilion (Brighton), The Four Seasons Hotels, The Grove, The Savoy and many more. Current projects include guitar based film & TV work with top publishers Sony/EMI, Boosey & Hawkes and Imagem Production Music. Mike also works as a session guitarist for TV and video games, and recent credits include the hit Ubisoft game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and various BBC/ITV/C4 programmes. Mike has worked with the likes of Henry Olsen (formerly of Primal Scream), Tim Weller (drummer and brother of Paul) and programmer/producer Alexis Smith (Moulin Rouge and David Gray).
Mike became a guitarist at the age of six. After winning several arts competitions, he gained a music scholarship and had reached the final for the regional Young Musician of the Year by the age of twelve, which was aired live on the BBC. From this classical guitar background, Mike went on to train at the university of Salford, gaining a degree in Popular Music and Recording. Mike has undertaken live session guitar work in the UK for musicals such as ‘Grease’, ‘Joseph’ and ‘The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’.
